Popoyo + San Juan Del Sur

DAY 1-3 X
Welcome to Popoyo! A small beach town, known for surfing and good vibes. Unwind for your first few days with a beautiful ocean view, and good food! We will come straight here from the airport (2hr drive) and spend 3 nights total. Daily breakfasts and dinners onsite included. Lunch and drinks at your own expense. During our stay in Popoyo we will do a walking tour, orientation and also drive to San Juan Del Sur, where we will check out the local businesses and do another walking tour. Followed by a 2 hour long sloth tour where we will see sloths in the wild and learn about them the proper way! Here we will also have the chance to see other wildlife!
Ometepe Island Day 3-6 x

Welcome to Ometepe Island! Located in Lake Nicaragua, it was formed by 2 volcanos Concepcion and Maderas rising out of the lake! The volcanos erupted and built up over time, eventually emerging from the lake and forming the island. We will spend three nights on this island at a hotel right on the lake with a perfect view of one of the volcanos. Included in our island stay are all breakfasts, dinners (at various hand-picked restaurants), your hotel stay, and transportation. We will be doing a walking tour at a place called Charco Verde, a butterfly conservatory with the chance to see real WILD monkeys! We will also check out hot springs called (Ojo de Agua) and swim in them. Also included is going to a cacao and chocolate farm, ziplining with an amazing view of the volcanos, and hiking Volcano Maderas where San Ramon Waterfall will be at the top waiting for you to take a swim! We will rotate through our favourite sunset locations to guarantee you will see the best sunsets possible on the island!
Included: Breakfasts + dinners, hotel stays, transportation (personal vehicle + Alvaro as your driver), all excursions mentioned above, coffee in the mornings or a juice, ferry tickets, gas and Alvaro + Aislyn personally guiding you every step of the way.

MOMBACHO VOLCANO + THE CITY OF GRANADA
Day 7
We will take the ferry back from Ometepe Island and drive to Mombacho Volcano. Where we will drive up part of the Volcano and then proceed to hike it! This is an easy hike, and this volcano is more rainforest! Mombacho Volcano is known for its cloud forest and views of Granada. There are more than 700 species of plants registered on this volcano. Option to zipline on this volcano as well ($25 per person to be given to the guide onsite). From Mombacho Volcano we will drive to the city of Granada where we will check into our hotel. We will do a walking tour of the Colonial City, where you can learn all about it! We will eat dinner at one of the local restaurants. In the morning, we will have breakfast before making our way to Laguna De Apoyo.

Included: Hotel stay, walking tour of Granada, dinners, breakfasts (coffee, tea, water juice option). All transportation. Entry fees to the volcano + tour of the volcano. Personally being guided the entire time by Alvaro + Aislyn.

Laguna de Apoyo Day 8 x
From Granada, we will drive to Laguna de Apoyo! Despite being named “Laguna” de Apoyo, this lake is actually located in the center of a dormant volcano. The crater formed approximately 23,000 years ago from a strong volcanic explosion. Water slowly filled the crater over thousands of years to create the Laguna, while vegetation simultaneously began to return. Which means, you will quite literally be swimming in a volcano! We will spend the day here, swimming, tubing, kayaking and chilling! This hotel has beautiful “outdoor” showers that make you feel like you are in the jungle, because you are! We will eat dinner here and spend your final night here, listening to the monkeys and enjoying the ‘ magical powers’ this place has to offer. In the morning, we will have breakfast before driving approx 1hr to Managua Airport.
